Q:Can you show me what my
smile can look like ahead of time using imaging software?
A: Absolutely. We can take digital photos of your smile
and your face, and use new computer software to change the
color, shape, and look of your teeth. This gives you a good
sense of what you would look like with longer, straighter,
or whiter teeth.
Q: I am interested in teeth
whitening. Can you provide me with more information?
A: We offer different systems for teeth whitening. You can
bleach at home, wearing a solution-containing tray for specified
time period each day or there are systems you use overnight.
Home teeth whitening should be supervised by your dentist.
If you prefer an in-office teeth whitening, a Zoom
whitening treatment can really jumpstart the process,
with a laser that can lighten your teeth as much as four
to nine shades in the course of one visit.
Q: Is it bad if my gums bleed after I
brush my teeth?
A: If your gums continually bleed after you brush, they
are inflamed and maybe even infected. This can lead to bone
loss and tooth loss over time, and the condition should
be evaluated immediately.
Q: What do porcelain veneers
correct?
A: Porcelain veneers are used to correct many different
problems including gaps, chipped or cracked teeth, worn
teeth, and discolored teeth. Porcelain
veneers provide a cosmetic dentistry option that can
be used to give you a smile that you have always wanted
in just a few visits to the office.
Q: Can you fix my front teeth
without braces?
A: There are various options to correct crooked, gapped,
or uneven teeth. Reshaping and veneers are popular options,
but each case is unique and a consultation with cover the
best options to suit your needs.
Q: What are dental implants?
How do I know if I'm a good candidate?
A: Dental implants are
substitutes for the roots of missing teeth. They act as
an anchor for a replacement tooth or crown or a set of replacement
teeth.
Implant patients are of all ages and implants may be the
right choice for anyone missing one or more teeth due to
injury, disease or decay. They are especially practical
for patients who can no longer wear removable dentures (or
who don't want to). Dr. Benjamin can determine if you are
a candidate for dental implants after a careful evaluation
of your dental and medical history.
Q:Do you
keep up to date with the latest techniques advances in technology?
A: Dr. Benjamin is trained in the most advanced techniques
of cosmetic dentistry. Because she uses the latest in materials
and techniques, Dr. Benjamin can help you attain the smile
you have always wanted. The color, size, shape, and alignment
of your teeth can be changed by such procedures as bleaching,
bonding, veneers and inlays. Our intra-oral camera and state
of the art computerized imaging, will let you see the results
of any cosmetic procedure before it is even started.
Q:How often
should I schedule check-ups?
A: This can vary with the individual, but on average, a
professional cleaning and check-up should be scheduled every
six months. Beyond normal daily flossing and brushing, professional
cleanings help eliminate built-up plaque, tartar, and stave
off gingivitis. We will make this determination upon your
exam to find the right interval to keep you teeth and gums
healthy and beautiful. Dental health is not a one-time affair.
A plan of preventive dentistry is the most important service
we have to offer you. Regularly scheduled examinations will
give you the maximum opportunity for long-term good dental
health. Keeping a beautiful and healthy smile throughout
your lifetime is now possible. We will show you how to achieve
that goal!
Q:Do
you handle dental emergencies?
A: Our office rule of thumb for dental emergencies: if you
think it is an emergency, we do too. Please give us a call
at any time, day or night, and we will do everything possible
to take care of your problem immediately.
Q:What options are
available to help me relax while having dental work done?
A: We offer the latest sedation techniques, including nitrous
oxide ("laughing gas"), oral premedication, and
conscious sedation. We also provide "audio analgesia"
(music available on head sets) to aid in your relaxation.
Q:Do you offer
pediatric dentistry? What special needs to children have?
A: Dr. Benjamin has extensive experience working with children
and we welcome them in our office. We offer a variety of
preventive measures such as fluoride treatments and dental
sealants.
Q:Will my new
smile look natural?
A: Absolutely. We take each case and determine the best
approach based on a number of factors. Utilizing the latest
techniques and technology ensures the results will look
completely natural.
Q:How long will my
new smile take, and how many visits?
A: This depends on the intricacy of the work involved, but
on average, most cosmetic procedures can be completed in
less than a month, with one to three visits total. Dr. Benjamin
and staff are highly-skilled, which will keep your office
visits and time in the chair to a minimum.
Q:Will
my new smile last a long time?
A: Advances in new dental materials are far more resistant
to wear and tear than natural teeth. With regular care,
your new smile should last for many years to come.

options are available?

care and offer a variety of ways to pay for or finance your
